In the video below, we discuss a great play that gets a back-screen for a layup, and a double down-screen for a wide open three-pointer.


A few quick pointers to remember when you run this play:

  • Make sure you look for the initial cut from the 2-guard to the block. Often times, the defense will get lazy and trail the cut.
  • Set a solid back-screen and look to hit the cutter in stride for a layup.
  • The shooter needs to set up his cut before coming off of the double screen
    • He also has to have his hands ready and his feet set for the shot
