Basketball Shooting Drills

Shooting is one of, if not THE most important skills in basketball. It’s something that can separate great players from good ones. Basketball shooting drills are important to run.

With that said, you want to make sure that you are supplying your players with shooting drills that will ultimately help them get better!

On this page, we’re sharing links to some of our favorite shooting drills that we like to run. Be sure to check back, as we’ll constantly be adding links to this list of shooting drills & resources.

Brad Stevens Shooting Drill

This is one of our absolute favorite basketball shooting drills because it forces your players to make different cuts before shooting the basketball. In this drill, your players will perform set shots, shots off the dribble, shots off of a curl cut, shots off of a flair, and shots in transition.

Read The D Shooting Drill

Another great basketball shooting drill that forces your players to make cuts depending on what the defense gives them. In this drill, they’ll perform curl cuts, backdoor cuts, straight-line cuts, and flairs.

Duke Shooting Drill

This is a full-court shooting drill that encompasses rebounding, outletting, pushing the basketball in transition, finishing at the rim, and shooting the ball in transition.

Please let us know in the comments if there are any other shooting drills you’re interested in seeing, or if there are specific skills you’d like to see us focus on in a particular drill.
